David Huebner is an independent arbitrator with more than 25 years of experience as a neutral or an advocate in international, investment, and complex commercial cases. He has particular expertise in technology and life sciences disputes but has handled matters across a wide range of industry sectors, legal issues, and geographic regions, and has in the past been based for extended periods in Tokyo, Shanghai, and New York.

His diverse professional background informs his approach to decision-making, process, and efficiency. In addition to practicing law at large firms, he has served as U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand, founding chief representative of an office in China, chairman of an international law firm, chairman of the California Law Revision Commission, and adviser to a member of Japan’s National Diet.
